During his 15+ year career as an Attorney and Public Insurance Adjuster, Matthew Azus has represented policyholders who have sustained property damage to their businesses and homes. An advocate for the insured, Matthew has a particular focus on real estate representing apartment building owners, condominium and cooperative associations, developers, hospitality, commercial and office building owners.
Whether the damage is sustained by virtue of fire, flood, wind, natural disaster or other peril, Matthew provides in-depth insurance policy analysis, evaluates the damages sustained and prepares a comprehensive claim (inclusive of damage appraisals, building consultant reports, inventory compilation and projected business income loss) to present on the insured’s behalf to the insurance company. Matthew works diligently to successfully negotiate a resolution to optimize the settlement recovery for the insured.
Matthew has been a Public Insurance Adjuster at Affiliated Adjustment Group since 2018 with his 8+ years of litigation experience providing his solid foundation. Matthew began his legal career with Lerner, Arnold & Winston, LLP as a law clerk in 2008 before joining the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2010.
Matthew is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and St. John’s School of Law. He is a Co-Chair on the Golf Committee for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America outing as well as a member of Long Island Real Estate Group.
